I think Proof of Random (PoR) is superior to PoW and PoS, because both PoW and PoS depend on the value of the ‘coin’ being sufficient to incentivise it’s own persistence of value. In other words, with PoW and PoS the system is by susceptible to a knock-on effect (reverse snowball effect) where the more a currency value drops, the less participants want to be involved (i.e. mine, or whatever), and the drop in value causes a push towards MORE drop in value, and a vicious circle can cause a complete meltdown. Using simple SHA256 hash algorithm to randomly “select” the next block chain contributor removes the “cost to entry” associated with PoW and PoS, and creates a free and fair universe of participants.
