My first Medium

Took me some time to break the silence out here on Medium. Been using this App for months without a thought in mind to write anything until now. “So what shall I write.” My silly mind chattered just a few happy minutes ago.

Shall I reflect upon the echoes of unwavering online buzz or trends everyone seeking top ranking views seems to crunch out. Should my first Medium be about introducing myself as a so-called seasoned blogger type to millions of potential bloggers, published authors, and readers alike.

I guess this will be it. I know that Facebook has recently been getting tons of noise and yelling about their now Live Streaming FB app capabilities. Oh and then there’s the old talk and scattered rumors last year of them monetizing Facebook Videos, but they aren’t yet ready to do so for all of their Billion+ members. Just some big shot publishers with the bank to amp up promotional campaigns out there already.

Social should get a new name

In the digital hallways and chambers of the Internet. Many things are beginning to revolve around video out here when it comes to big business benefitting from Social Media. Other up and coming Live Streaming networks like Periscope a baby of Twitter, are also starting to stir up the cooking pot. Causing turbulence in a once mostly Facebook and YouTube dominated online video experience.

Yes… video platforms like Vimeo, Daily Motion, Meta Cafe and countless others have been part role player in the totality of things, but when it comes to major boss moves being made monetarily YouTube and Facebook have been champion in recent years. They are going head to head even though YouTube is Top Gun currently thanks to Google and their Search Empire.

Hmmm… suddenly I’ve ran out of ideas, thus concluding this first article to be continued on this subject of video power disrupting things. I mean the status quo itself is at stake so it sure is a worthy subject to cover even though millions of other copy writers have already took a sharp stab at it.

Do you think we should rename the term “Social” in the double word terms for networking? As it surely has evolved since the time it was born online.
