Following the curve of the Orion arm, the mission is follow this until a suitable intersect with the Carina-Sagittarius arm is found. Once bridged with Carina-Sagittarius, the LDS will continue along the arm towards an ultimate goal of Sagittarius A*.

Leg 1, taking in an initial 42 jump sequence to clear the bubble had the LDS clear 500LY + LY from Sol, before stopping in the Stock 1 Sector BL-X D1-9 system for a short survey.

First stop along the Orion Spur, BL-X D1–9

Legs 2–8

Legs 2 through 8 have been somewhat uneventful. The LDS is now some 8,222.34 LY from Sol. We now star nosing up towards the Traikeou Nebula proper at Traikeou AA-A H2.

Traikeou marks a significant point as it is the farthest that the LDS had reached (approximately 8,600LY from Sol) on its previous long expedition.

It also is the start of a sequence of nebulae that the crew shall be performing some more in depth surveying in.
