South Fulton House Delegation Seeks to Amend City Charter

The members of the South Fulton House legislative delegation have announced that they will hold a press conference tomorrow to address the concerns of South Fulton citizens. The announcement follows a vote to overturn a veto of a resolution permitting the city council to hire part-time aides.
According to State Representative Roger Bruce (D-Atlanta), who serves as the delegation’s vice-chair, the goals of the press conference are to reassure the citizens that their concerns are a top priority and to address the long-term effects of actions taken by the city council.
Additionally, he expressed the delegation’s desire to amend the city’s charter.
In addition to Rep. Bruce, the South Fulton House legislative delegation is comprised of Rep. Debra Bazemore (D-South Fulton), who serves as chair, along with Reps. William Boddie (D-East Point), Derrick Jackson (D-Tyrone), Sharon Beasley-Teague (D-Red Oak) and Marie Metze (D-Atlanta).
