How I turned learning difficulties into learning opportunities.

Learning was not easy for me for a long time.
I had learning difficulties at school. I changed numbers around when I read numbers and I changed words and letters around when I read text.
After a while I was send to a school especially for kids with learning difficulties. I was told that I had ADD. Later some people told me I could be slightly autistic.
It did not stop me. I had to keep pushing trough. I had to learn how we learn so I could change how I learn. That is one of the many reasons I began training in NLP later.
Growing up in a very conservative religion with a doomsday scenario didn’t make it easier.
By the time I trained in NLP I also trained in Hypnosis. I was accused in the religious community and by my parents sometimes from doing devilish and demonic things because of my training in hypnosis and my study in for instance ancient systems like chakras.
Nevertheless I studied all the different religions, spiritual systems, believe systems and esoteric systems I could find and kept learning how we learn again in more and more interesting ways.
Because I had to examine how I learned in order to even catch up with other students It became easier for me also to spot when others would create illformed logic. I began to see by my own study and comparisons the flaws in what I was learning in that religion and could not stand it any longer.
I felt strongly at the time that no matter how shunned I would become from a religious community that the pursuit for truth was the closest I could become to understanding and serving a God. (That was before I understood Zen, Tao and Sufism. God is in being and in beauty — resonates more with me now.)
Anything else are excuses and dress up to mask lack of courage and skin (personal risk) in the game.
I did not take an easy road for sure nor did I just change because of social pressure. I did it because “my conscious left me no other choice” and because I keep setting high standards for myself.
And now I am so happy I kept creating my own way because now I can help people create their own way in business and in life and set their own system to keep learning and growing.
