Welcome to Cobudget! Here’s a quick, visual guide to help you get started. If you haven’t already, click here, and sign up to begin!
First, lets try it out in an easy way
1. Invite some colleagues you work with on a daily basis.
We reccomend you let them know it’s a test with a specific timeline (for example 2 weeks). This will give you enough time to try out the tool, and see if it’s right for you.
Note: When you invite them in this way, they will get an email with a brief explanation of what Cobudget is.
2. Create some example ideas
Ask yourself: What could I do to help my group work better together?
You might put on a workshop, host a social gathering, or even pay people to thank each other. Get creative and come up with 1 or 2 example ideas to get the momentum going.
Note: Make sure to take a moment to comment on other people’s ideas as they post them as well!
3. Give people some fake funds to play with
Put some money in your group members’ accounts. Once you’re playing with some funding (even fake funding), people’s imaginations often light up.
Note: When you give someone funds, they will get a notification letting them know and reminding them to participate.
4. Fund some example ideas together to get the hang of it
This part is really fun. Check out what your team has come up with, and try funding some of their ideas.
Did you feel that? Getting funded by your peers is an inspiring feeling, and giving funding feels great too.
There’s many ways to use Cobudget. Starting simple helps —next you should try to Cobudget some real projects in your team (or across a few teams). We think you will be (happily) surprised what amazing ideas people will come up with.
This new way of working together creates countless opportunities for people to contribute their skills and experience in new, and exciting ways.
We hope you will dive in with both feet.
