This is nice in theory. I’ll give you a an alternative experience: Developing for Gear VR has been the bane of our existence. They have a policy of zero-feedback rejections (condoned by John Carmack himself). In my experience, you are most likely to bankrupt your indie company by developing for Gear VR than by developing for Steam VR in which you’re guaranteed access to the store (and therefore feedback). If you’re a believer that we’re at the tip of the iceberg on VR, you should develop for the platform that is the most advanced since that’s where the industry is heading. Skip mobile; dive straight into Vive development and let the industry catch up! If only I had learned this lesson sooner :).
