Thanks Paul. I think both sides keep trying to add negatives to the scales, instead of side-stepping judgement and comparisons and “fairness” (especially for things their “surrogates” are doing) and getting to work on making change. This primary has lacked leadership with the one big but very specific example of Sanders talking about economic inequality. It should be an amazing time to figure out why we are collectively so sexist. I think either candidate could win by showing themselves to be a leader on social issues (Sanders is where he is, instead of at 12% because of his leadership on economics), while right now the zealots are busy showing that the other side is more racist/sexist/homophobic … and most ordinary people don’t really keep careful track or care, this fight makes us look like zealots when we could swing voters by seeming either like normal people or leaders.
