You make this sound so much worse than it is. There’s an upper limit of 0.042 btc that you can fund a channel with. Once funded, you can send up to that amount many times again and again in the same direction. From your bitcoin wallet it would be like sending any other bitcoin transaction to send it through that already-opened channel. You don’t have to stop and load it in there again, and the cap wouldn’t diminish… Just send all you want beneath that limit each send.
