Update: my transaction is now confirmed thanks to some research. Thought I would share in case it might help someone else. I have used ledger Bitcoin wallet to send in the past with the fee setting on high many times with no issue. However, maybe it’s because of the segwit wallet or something else, but this time even on the high setting the fee for the transaction was extremely low which is why it was not being confirmed. It was around .29. It did not seem right, but I thought that maybe segwit was the reason and was hopeful that it was enough. After a while, I used the lightning button to increase the fee, but after I sent it, it only bumped up to .49 equivalent. So more time passes and still no confirmations. I was going to use the lightning button again, but this time it was insanely high, $900 fee!!!! Proposed at 22,000 satoshis. So needless to say, I did not enter that trade. At this point, I did some research and found a website that lists the satoshis going rate for actual fast confirmations. I once again used the lightning button, but this time I used custom and set it to around 487 satoshis, which came out to $22. I entered the updated trade and the transaction received it’s first confirmation about 20 minutes later. Keep in mind that since I was sending this to myself I was able to update the transaction from the new receiver segwit wallet.
In conclusion, there might be something not working properly with the fee aspect when sending a Bitcoin transaction through ledger. I have never had any problems before, and I love my ledger nano s. I would recommend double checking fees and maybe using custom where you enter your own number for satoshis per byte.
Good luck!
