If you live near the Mexican border, find one of several groups working in the detention centers where women and children are waiting to hear if they will be accepted here because they are raped and trafficked at home in Central and South America and raped by the guards at the detention centers while they await freedom in the land of walls. The resilience of these families will blow your mind.
If you live in Texas, message me. I have a couple of “ins” to the hell that is child rape. Do you want to help raped children from birth to 10? The ones raped and sold by their own patents? The ones raped by others they know and trust? The ones on the streets without homes? They trafficked ones? The ones in the prisons, the detention centers? Help is sorely needed if you survive the training.
If this is too much, be a mentor to a kid through a school. Most of them have behavioral problems because they have been raped, too, but the training ignores that. At least they will have a touchstone and know what it feels like when someone truly cares, really helps and wants nothing in return. That’s a huge gift!
