It is hard not to have a lovely exchange with Sherry Caris. She makes me laugh and has also made me cry. I am almost afraid of what you read because we are a lot alike and converse a lot here. I often forget we are on Medium and not in some private chat.

You threw me for a moment there. I thought that somehow we had attracted a Trump follower who would surely be a troll because we aren’t the Trump following type. Or maybe someone who didn’t quite get satire then I realized I was the one not getting the satire. It has been a very long week. Your piece makes me smile, too.

How weird is it the Trump followed us, if only for a few minutes and probably via bot? I don’t even know what a bot is but what I mean is that for about 30 minutes, probably because of the Twitter-Medium connection, someone at his campaign flicked some “follow everyone” switch on Medium. Then he and/or they realized that everyone here uses sentences to write coherent stories so flicked the “unfollow” everyone switch.

I am not even a Twitter user. I don’t tweet. I had forgotten all about this until now. Hmmm. Now I may think about that switch, that bot and why Trump followed two people like us. Instead I shall Google the word “bot” and become smarter.
