Thanks so much, Clay. You are again the voice of reason.

I will use my “space” as I hope I do, already. I can use all I have to seek the suffering and those in pain and serve. And now I can do that with more hope in my heart.

You have written something really important:

“The country’s come too far to return things to the way they were. Too many people have given their lives in the fight against racism. And too many more have had their lives taken in that same name.”

The country has come too far, far too many lives have been given and taken for the momentum to be lost. Perhaps we are seeing the last gasp of an ready dead movement, the dying embers of a once blazing fire close to ashes. Out of those ashes, we can work together to be sure a new nation rises which better meets the ideal of liberty and justice for all.

Thanks for restoring my hope and therefore, my energy to stay in this fight. I learn so much from you. Your spirit is generous.

You were among the 1st I followed on Medium, too. I’m glad we can continue our conversation, can listen and learn. I hope sooner than later we will be trading stories of progress proving Dr. King right: “the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.”

In the meantime, I hope you will keep sharing your brave stories from the front lines.

You are a shining light!
