This really makes me angry. You have described what happens when one is raped. I am so sorry you have had this horrible experience. Your analysis of the media and its lack if accountability, its need to sensationalize is on point. And yes, our criminal justice system is too often unfair, even unjust.

I admire your ability to see this situation with equanimity. Because of this and your great spirit visible here and in your other work I have read on Medium, I believe there are, indeed, better times ahead.

You have been wounded and wounded unfairly. Rumi wrote that the wound is where the Light enters. We must seek the Light and work with the wound, of course. When we do we can use to the worst as the raw material from which to create the best. Your insight of your situation and especially of yourself will serve you well to this end.
