Well, I am moved to tears and filled with gratitude. I understand the unhealthy pull of the oldest child of which Tremaine L. Loadholt writes. I also understand that privilege when I am able to offer my assistance freely. Most of all, as one chronically ill with Lupus, I understand the gratitude I feel for people who understand how to give of themselves freely and healthily. My husband is one. I’m more than lucky. Sitting in silence, with Mystery, helps me touch the paradox and understand, if only for a second.
Thanks, Thin Man! You have made my soul sing today.
