Great post, David! It’s also hugely important that companies hire for potential and train because hiring someone who is experienced (and thus in the industry already) DOESN’T actually change the ratios in the industry as a whole— just in YOUR company. It doesn’t solve the problem, it is purely cosmetic. Only by opening the pipeline and hiring for potential and diversity experience as you suggest will change happen.
