Joe Yately, aka “Tom” is trying to start a new life after his release from prison. Tom starts a job dependent upon delivering track ballast (stones) fast and frequently, his pay tied directly to his performance. Tom is unaware that as he is going “straight” his bosses are scheming and committing lawless acts every day. Tom finds a friend in Gino, and a love interest, Lucy, but Gino is in love with Lucy. Will the bosses’ deadly plan and Tom’s loyalty to Gino cost Tom his life? Look for a young Sean Connery in his third film with a small supporting role as a truck driver. Starring Stanley Baker, Herbert Lom and Peggy Cummins.
