Blockchain Centre to Launch in Dubai as Part of International Expansion Strategy.

Melbourne-based Blockchain Centre, has announced a partnership to launch a Blockchain Centre in Dubai, as it continues its expansion, following announcements for Blockchain Centres in China, Lithuania and Malaysia.

As a not-for-profit organisation, the purpose of Blockchain Centre is to promote and assist with the education, adoption and growth of the Blockchain ecosystem and provide resources to entrepreneurs and stratus through use of our Blockchain co-working space and community hub.

The announcement was made by Sam Lee, CEO of Blockchain Global, a key sponsor to the Blockchain Centre. Sam also founded the Blockchain Centre in November 2014 together with Martin Davidson, Global Director and CEO of the Blockchain Centre

“We are proud to be able to be part of the Dubai Blockchain ecosystem through this announcement to establish a Blockchain Centre Dubai with support from Australia — where the Blockchain Centre has built up a strong community for the last 3 years: developing education programmes, community events and co-working opportunities for blockchain-related companies,” said Sam Lee.

Martin Davidson said, “This announcement comes in time with the launch of Melbourne’s first blockchain incubator where we have plans for international expansion. The overall vision is to establish 20 Blockchain Centres by 2018 and we welcome partnerships with governments, ecosystem builders and entrepreneurs to promote blockchain as a technology and as an economic driver across the world”

This announcement comes in partnership with Hyperchain FZE as the anchor, operator and sponsor for Dubai Blockchain Centre. Dubai Blockchain Centre will comprise of a team of architects, cryptographers, social media experts, entrepreneurs, blockchain technology consultants, finance and marketing experts, and project managers, as well as leaders from the business policy and the open source community.
