The known detective Sherlock Holmes committed suicide by jumping from the roof of the Bart Hospital in London. This after one of the police crew members, Sargent Donovan, suspected that he was actually involved in most or all the cases he had solved.

Sargent Donovan became suspicious of the detective when the two children of Rufus Bruhl, United States ambassador, were kidnapped and Holmes solved the case using only parts of the footprints they found in the boarding school from were the children were taken. She did not believed he could be able to solve the case with just one single clue.

On the other hand, John Watson, Holmes partner and best friend, tells a story which includes James Moriarty. Apparently Moriarty, three months ago managed to open the vault of the Bank of England, the Pentonville prison and break the crystal vault in the Tower of London where the crown jewels were contained, the three of them at 11:00 am. After a trial where Moriarty was found not guilty, he went to visit Holmes in his house and told him “I owe you a fall” telling him that he will come back to kill him.

Two months after this events Watson is warned by Holme’s older brother, that “four top international assassins relocate within distance of the 221b” (Place where Watson and Holmes lived). The information gets Watson in alarm and goes back to Holmes who is just hearing the case of the two missing children.

After finding the children, when Holmes went to talk with the girl Claudette she started screaming, which was the first cause for Sargent Donovan to suspect since it was assumed that the girl had never seen Holmes before. Donovan convinced her partners that Holmes is somehow implicated in the abduction and goes to arrest him that same night. But meanwhile Holmes tells Watson that is exactly what Moriarty wants, to discredit Holmes, everyone to believe he invented Moriarty and he is actually the creator of all the crimes. So when the police arrives to arrest Holmes, he and Watson run away. At a point they separate and Watson went to see Holmes brother again and he founds out that he is the one who gave all the information Moriarty needed in order to carry out his plan.

Watson goes to look for Sherlock at the Bart Hospital where he is hidden. The next morning Watson gets a call that Mrs. Hudson, the maid, had been shot and goes to look for her, but Holmes stays in the hospital. When Watson arrives to his house finds out that Mrs. Hudson is actually alright and he had just been deceived to get away from Holmes. Watson went back to the hospital and received a call from Holmes who is actually in the roof top of the hospital just about to throw himself.

After this events there is no one to know if Holmes was really related to the crimes he solved since Moriarty was found death in the roof top where Holmes threw himself from, or Watson’s story is to been believed, Holmes is really innocent and Moriarty just wanted to seen him death.
