As an American living in France, the worst part of all this is seeing the same tired debates being played out here as I saw in the US only a few months ago.
I don’t think the results will be as devastating in France as in the US, or at least I hope not, but it is already something of a disappointment to see the exact same…
That sucks that you have to navigate everyone speaking English to you. I imagine their intentions are good it just ends up coming across as annoying. Especially if you want to learn the language!
I have begun unfollowing some people on medium as well. It seems that there’s a big market on medium for people to tell other people how to succeed, and I realized it was making me feel bad about myself.
I don’t really blame people for taking advantage of it, or figuring out what the silent majority are most interested in…
We ask a lot of people to be on our show, but I was surprised at first at how reluctant a lot of people were to record anything. There was this idea that they couldn’t sound as good as we do.
That was ridiculous to me, but it made me realize how being disconnected from the process can make it seem like magic.
