November 12 is National Cape Day; yes, it’s a real thing and, yes, that means you have a perfectly justifiable excuse to wear a cape.

Created in memory of the late, great Stan Lee, the aim of National Cape Day is to raise awareness and further promote happiness and wellbeing throughout the world.

But, however stylish they may be, not every hero can, needs, or wants to wear a cape. So here are 5 ways you can be a hero on National Cape Day without a cape.

Capes: A matter of personal preference.

Laser Focus

Distractions come in all shapes and sizes, but they all serve to keep you from achieving your goal. Use your superpower of laser vision to keep laser focused on the things that are important to you.

To activate your laser focus you can snap your fingers or click your tongue to bring your attention back. Or you can imagine those distractions are henchmen you brush aside, or asteroids you effortlessly deflect.

Stand Up to Supervillains

There are always supervillains trying to bully their way into getting what they want. But heroes don’t let them get away with that.
