Introduction
Tamil Nadu is a state in the south of India. Its area is 1,30,058 sq km. It is the 10th largest Indian state. The main language spoken here is Tamil. Its capital is Chennai. Which is one of the 16 metropolitan cities of India. Apart from Chennai, there are other important cities including Tirunelveli, Salem, Trichy, Coimbatore and Madurai.The states of Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are located to the west of Tamil Nadu state. To its north are the Nilgiri Mountains and the Meghalmai Hills. And to its east lies the Bay of Bengal and to the south the Indian Ocean.

History
The history of Tamil Nadu is considered very ancient. It has been going on since prehistoric times. South India is believed to have been ruled by the Chola, Chera and Pandya kings for many years. Of which the Pallavas ruled in the first half of the fourth century. The Pallavas have built the famous Madir architecture of the Dravidian style. Similarly, the Cholas built the Bhuvan Temple. In which the “Brihadeeswarar Temple” of Thanjavur is an example of this. The Chola dynasty was in power from the first century to the fourth century. In which the most prominent was “Karikal Chola”. Who extended their empire to Kanchipuram. The Cholas established their empire as far as present-day Thanjavur and Tiruchirapalli. By the end of the third century the Chola dynasty had begun to decline due to the invasion of the “Kalabhras”. By the end of the eleventh century, Tamil Nadu was ruled by many more kingdoms like Pandya, Chola and Chalukya. After this, the Chola Empire ruled Tamil Nadu for 200 years.
In 1611 the East India Company established its factory at Machilipatnam (Andhra Pradesh) and gradually fought the local rulers and subjugated their territories. The British first established their settlement in Tamil Nadu, known as the “Madras Presidency” in 1901, which included parts of the South Atonement. After independence, the Madras Presidency was divided into several parts. As a result, Madras and many other provinces emerged. Madras Province was renamed Tamil Nadu in 1968. The Tamil Nadu word is derived from the Tamil language Tamil meaning “Desh” and Nadu ie “Vasasthan” which means “home of Tamils” or “country of Tamils”.

Geography Tamil Nadu is an Indian state located in the south of India. Its area is 1,30,058 square kilometers. Where about 5.96% of India i.e. about 7,21,38,958 population lives. The population density here is 555 per person kilometer. The latitudinal extension of Tamil Nadu ranges from 11°12'71 “north to longitude 78°65'69” east. It is surrounded by Andhra Pradesh in the north, Kerala in the west, the Indian Ocean in the south and the Bay of Bengal in the east.It is the main river of Kaveri. The eastern part of the state of Tamil Nadu is fertile and its northern part consists of hills and flat land. The western, southern and northeastern part of the state is hilly terrain. The central part of the state is dry due to which there is not much rainfall. Due to the tsunami that occurred in the year 2004, there was a lot of loss here and about 7,790 people were also killed.

Bharatappuzha River — This river originates from the Anamalai Hills. Its length is 209 kilometers. It flows through Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Amravati River — It originates from the Chinar River. Its length is 282 kilometers. Amravati dam is built on this river.
Bhavani River — This river originates from the Nilgiri Mountains. Its length is 215 kilometers. Kodiveri and Bhawanisagar Dam is built over it.
Vaigai River — It originates from Varsanadu Hills. Its length is 258 kilometers.
Tahmirbarani River — Its origin is Agastya Mala. Its length is 125 kilometers
Palar River — It originates from the Nandi Hills. Its length is 348 kilometers.
Kaveri River — This is the main river here. Its origin area is Talakaveri. Its length is 765 kilometers. It also flows through Karnataka. It is built by Krishna king Sagra dam and Mettur dam.

According to the 2011 census, Tamil Nadu has a population of 7,21,38,958. Which is roughly equal to the population of the Turkish country. Which is 5.96% of the total population of the country. It is the 7th largest state in the country in terms of population. The population density here is 555 persons per square kilometer. Here 51.55% ie 3,71,89,229 population resides in rural areas.Here 48.45% i.e. 3,49,49,729 population lives in urban areas. The population of Tamil Nadu increased by 15.6% from 2001 to 2011. Despite this, the state has one of the lowest fertility rates in the country.

The majority of the population of the Tamil Nadu state believes in Hinduism. As of 2011, Tamil Nadu has a Hindu population of 87.58%, followed by Christianity with 6.12%, followed by Muslim with 5.86%, followed by Jainism with 0.12%, followed by Sikhism. Population is 0.02% and then Buddhism is 0.01% population.

Language The main language here is Tamil which is spoken by 89% of the total people here. But other languages ​​are also spoken after this. Telugu which is spoken by 5.66% of the people here, Kannada language which is spoken by 1.7% of the people, Urdu which is spoken by 1.5% of the people and Malayalam is spoken by 0.6% of the people.
