Conic is shutting down

Unfortunately we have to announce that Conic will be discontinuing its services. Over the past months, the core team has been working on a new version for Conic. However, despite working with auditors, the team did not manage to come up with sufficient fixes to several issues of the new version. Ultimately, this made the team feel not fully confident in releasing the new and audited version. This was a very frustrating time, a time during which some core team members also decided to leave. After careful consideration of how the remaining core team wants to proceed, we decided that it would be best to discontinue the project.

To clarify, the current Conic deployment works and there have not been any security-related issues. The Conic contracts will remain open source on Github: https://github.com/ConicFinance. This includes the latest changes that were audited by ChainSecurity.

What does this mean?

• All Conic Omnipools have been shut down and deposits have been disabled. Furthermore, no more CNC will be earned by existing LPs. Any unclaimed CRV, CVX and CNC can be claimed by LPs. All LPs should withdraw their funds from Omnipools.
• All outstanding CNC held by the treasury will be burnt.
• The CNC locker has been shut down. This means that all vote lockers (vlCNC holders), regardless of their previously enforced lock time, can now withdraw their funds.
• The Conic UI will remain accessible for the next 3 months. Once the UI is shut down, any remaining LPs or vlCNC holders will need to withdraw their funds directly from the contracts (provided below).
• The Conic treasury will return what is remaining of Michael Egorov’s July, 2023 investment back to Michael. Conic will discontinue all Votium bribes and incentives for the CNC/ETH Curve pool beyond what is currently funded.
• Conic community channels such as Discourse and Discord will remain open but will no longer be managed by the core team.
