Harry, while I don’t purport to care one way or the other, your post lacks some subtlety around the fact that a rally is not the place a curious person goes to learn about a candidate’s positions. It’s a show for the faithful, which your dad of all people, should know a lot about. One would learn no more about Mr. Cruz at a rally than one would learn about your dad by watching the movies that he has acted in.

The Dumb here is that your dad thought attending a Cruz rally should be viewed for his high minded curiosity. If he was truly curious then he would have sat home and read things Cruz has written, watched hearings he was involved with, and perhaps even researched legislation he championed…but attending a rally…please, your dad is smarter than that, I hope.
