All You Need To Know About ConnectFor

Oh hello there! Come to check out our page, have you?

Let me start by saying Welcome! We are ConnectFor — your friendliest, kindest and most-trusted online volunteering platform. We work hard to bridge the gap between volunteers and NGOs by making matches based on NGO requirements and volunteer preferences/skillsets. Did you know that currently, only 21% of the Indian adult population donates time (Bain Philanthropy Report) to the social sector? There is a great need and potential for Indians to make a difference by giving their time, their efforts and their skills to one of the 3.3 million NGOs that currently operate country-wide. This is where ConnectFor comes in.

Over the last year that we have been live, we have been inspired by the number of people that have gratifying volunteering experiences with us, and then come back for more. This got us thinking — a few hours of effort goes a long way because it creates impact, satisfies the doer and encourages a repeat performance. We took this epiphany and turned it into a social media campaign — #100KSmiles.

#100KSmiles aims to encourage people to be kind in their everyday lives. We want people to perform a random act of kindness, post about it on social media and tag 5 friends to mobilize them to do the same. The end goal is to create a viral campaign and through this, start a kindness chain that will simply continue to brighten people’s days over time.

Of course, you are now curious about the team behind this brainwave. So here’s a little something about the minds and hearts behind the platform.

Shloka Mehta — Shloka conceived the idea of ConnectFor a little over a year ago and has been responsible for its growth. She splits her time between operations, marketing and financial planning for ConnectFor.

Maniti Modi — Maniti co-founded ConnectFor alongside Shloka and has been the analytics brain that has ensured accurate tracking of our data. Maniti also dabbles in NGO management and is the lead on CF Premium Projects.

Dharmaraj Solanki — Dharmaraj, or ngowallah, as he is popularly known, joined us in June. He’s been responsible for bringing NGOs on board, exposing the team to various conferences in the social sector, as well as daily operations.

Greeshma Rajeev — Greeshma came to us straight out of college in July. She helps Dharmaraj with connections and NGO management but mostly, enjoys the upkeep of ConnectFor’s social media presence.

Amisha Vora — Amisha came to us with years of experience with data and analytics, and since joining in July, she has revolutionized ConnectFor’s databases. Thanks to her, we can now measure impact in the most accurate way!

That concludes the “All You Need To Know About ConnectFor” page — we hope you’ll stay to volunteer!
