Absolutely agree with the article here. The problem seems to begin when these types of individuals are more concerned about “scaling” their businesses than they are about really helping people as individuals.
Let’s be completely honest, you cannot build a REAL relationship with anyone through an email autoresponder. That’s not to say that I don’t use an email autoresponder, I do. But with my coaching programme that I’m testing now and will roll out June 1st (that’s the goal), I am offering LIVE one-on-one coaching sessions over the phone, Skype, FaceTime, with those individuals who choose that package.
I want to personally work with people who want and need coaching, not just build a massive online business that rakes in a ton of cash but leaves me with no real connection to anyone. And for the most part, these so-called marketing gurus do not have REAL relationships with the individuals who purchase their courses. They can’t, because they’re too concerned about making more and more money.
In the end, everyone needs to make their choice as to how they’re going to do business. But B.S.ing people isn’t the way to do that.
