As Customer Success Manager at Cooleaf, I think a lot about what makes people feel good about the work they do. Most of us have to work for a living but aside from simply earning money, our job should provide us with a sense of accomplishment and confidence that we are growing into a better person, both personally and professionally.

Here’s one really awesome way to promote individual growth, while also growing a business:

ASK ALL EMPLOYEES IF THEY WOULD LIKE TO WRITE A BLOG POST ABOUT THE BUSINESS

In today’s world, content is king. This means that businesses should be putting out as much valuable content as possible online. A company blog is a great avenue to promote a business and should be a valuable resource for ideal customers.

By asking employees within an organization to write a blog post, it benefits everyone. Employees interested in content marketing will feel empowered and motivated by the opportunity to try something new to ultimately grow the business, and the business will grow thanks to the valuable content created by employees.

HAVE A FOLLOW-UP LUNCHEON TO DISCUSS THE BLOG POSTS

Once the deadline for blog posts have passed, it would be a great idea to then have a luncheon to discuss posts with the writers. Employees from different departments will come together to discuss a like-minded passion while growing the business. If there is a lot of interest, it could become an ongoing program.
