Hi Ric, I totally agree with you that ad hominem attacks and voter insults are generally a terrible idea. The left absolutely made mistakes in that regard, as did the commentators all over the internet using terms like “libtard” and “cuck[servative]”. I also agree that corporate media control is a problem. However, to move to substantive issues as you suggest, perhaps you could clarify your STEM field and speculate how STEM research will fare when Trump is stoking the fantasies of the anti-science wing of the GOP. Could you assess the qualifications of his cabinet in regards to STEM? Will they be an upgrade from Steven Chu, the Nobel-winning physicist and energy secretary?
