Destroying the North-East’s social fabric

I read the report on the state of affairs in IDP camps in Maiduguri. It makes for extremely depressing reading. Like you I share a grave concern for what could come after this war is over. The Nigerian government has had a very terrible track record of showing that it cares for its citizens. In fact, one could argue that the reason the IDP situation is not worse than it is is because private citizens have stepped up to the plate and offered food and sanctuary to fellow citizens.

The government NEEDS to step up to the plate so that we do not end up producing more Njidekas.
