Create Emotional Experiences, Not Meetings

When you think of an upcoming meeting, you most likely dread the fact that you have to go. In fact, some people may try to get there early enough to get a back seat. “A back seat?” you might ask. Yes, because then they don’t have to pay attention as the speaker drones on and on about something that is completely uninteresting. At Corporate Magic, we produce emotional experiences, not meetings. We want your experience to create energy and portray emotion that will draw your audience in and make them want them fight over the front row!

Is Emotion a Good Route to Take?
I know there are some out there who may be wondering whether putting emotion into a seminar or meeting is actually a good route to take. The truth is that everyone has emotion and everyone can show emotion. In fact, everything we do is motivated by emotion. Professionals who really love their jobs and really put their soul into what they do should have no trouble creating emotional experiences. For example:

· An accountant gets excited about numbers!

· Computer geeks drool over hard drives, data programming, and other things that you and I simply don’t understand.

· Lawyers are adamant in their beliefs and their point of view.

Being part of an experience where someone is actually excited to share their knowledge can create an excitement in anyone, even those who might otherwise consider the topic boring. Emotional experiences truly produce real results. Just ask Herb Kelleher, Steve Ballmer, and Bill Gates. They have a lot of fun! They are animated, and allow their audiences to show animation as well. With their energy, nobody ever questions whether or not they love what they do, how they run their businesses, and who they work with. Emotion is powerful.

How Do You Create an Emotional Experience?
To create an emotional experience, you have to first love what you do. Are you in the wrong business? I suggest taking an inventory of your passions and finding a job that you love. Then, and only then, can you portray the right emotion when you are in front of others. Already in a position you love? Then lighten up! A little humor never hurt anybody, and it can be said that if you take your job too seriously, you won’t be able to perform at your best!

In order to lighten up, you really need to get in the flow of things. Your emotion truly needs to just flow out of you. If you are uptight and have your stomach in knots, your emotion will never flow out of you!

Relax. Stop worrying about what others think of you. Find your flow. Work to find it. There will be a learning period, but once you find it, you will know! You will be in a new zone. You will be happy! Others will feed off of your attitude, and your “meetings” will never be boring again.
