Data is Energy | Information is Power
A Resourceful Analogy
Data is misunderstood by far too many people. From boardrooms to dorm rooms, white collars or none at all — people just don’t know how to think about it.
We don’t have that same problem with energy. With the exception of a few more recent inventions like geothermal or biomass, people understand energy… at least well enough.
We know that energy is often collected.
By extension we recognize that energy is almost everywhere. Our sun, our wind, our rivers and ocean are all vast sources of energy. In fact, anything that changes produces energy.
The first challenge is to collect it. Humans have been evolving and expanding our ability to do that for tens of thousands of years. It was an evolution from wood to coal to oil to gas to nuclear and soon to plasma. We expanded from carbon fuels to wind then solar and now geothermal and even decaying biomass.
