Realm of Ralov
Our players will begin their journey in the realm of Ralov, an expansive world filled with beautiful vistas and biomes. It is home to a race of humanoid entities called the Kalibras. The history of this realm is a rich and varied one. Having gone from being mere tribesmen constantly embroiled in petty feudalism, the Kalibras would go on to put their differences aside to usher in the dawn of a 5000 year long peace called “The Undying Silence”. As a race, they would make great strides in their understanding of the various sciences and magics of their realm, propelling them to the forefront of every field of study. This almost never-ending peace came at a hidden cost. A cost that, once revealed, would cause the outbreak of a bloody civil war that would culminate in the detonation of a weapon of apocalyptic proportions. A weapon capable of tearing their souls from their physical bodies, leaving their existence, at most times, in a dormant state of purgatory.
Ferment Host Lords
Although a few amongst them would survive and retain their physical forms, which had now been amplified due to their exposure to this weapon. These few would go on to become the Ferment Host Lords. Entities with unimaginable powers and strengths are capable of decimating entire legions on their own with the unique ability to call upon the wandering souls of the Kalibras, imbue them with purpose, and bind them to physical bodies of their own machinations.
Where do players fit into all of this?
Each Ferment Host Lord commands their own domain and has their own agenda. Some of them are purely altruistic, while others have the potential to be downright evil. Others are morally ambiguous.Players will engage with this realm as wandering Kalibras souls that have been summoned by a Ferment Host Lord to help establish their domain, be it through conquest, re-building of lost cities, or serving as their tools for political purposes. These souls and their corresponding bodies will be NFT assets that will appear in-game. Players will be at the forefront of much of the world building through gameplay. Something that we’ll explore in an upcoming post that will take an in-depth look into gameplay.
