Blockchains continue to redefine the world in terms of its revolutionary methodology and incredible benefits. Its decentralization approach and immutability mean data is both transparent and secure, hack-free and immune to manipulation. It means that any data stored in the blockchain is permanently there and can’t ever be changed. It’s a security and data protection approach that is built into the design of the platform, and this makes a difference.

The problem, however, is that systems change. Rules and logic can change moving forward, and once that happens, how would the change treat the previous data? Would it still treat it as valid, given that the rules have changed? …

Blockchain continues to forge a path that sees it being implemented in various industries and governments worldwide. Indeed, ever since the original blockchain, and since Bitcoin was developed as a digital currency, experts have been looking into adapting blockchain into uses outside of finance and banking. With it came the “gold rush” of utilizing this brand-new technology into a myriad of applications and has seen the explosive growth of blockchain-based projects popping here and there in the last few years or so.

A new wave of projects playing in the so-called Blockchain 4.0 space is emerging, all with the common goal of tackling one of the problems of Blockchain adoption: scalability. Current blockchain technology has structural and algorithmic limitations that make it difficult to scale, and this is a major point that is being addressed by these projects. …

Blockchain is one of the trending, most talked about technology in recent years. Starting with the Bitcoin blockchain, it has blazed a trail with the advantages of decentralization and transparency at its head. Bitcoin was founded with the dream of eventually having digital currency adopted on a worldwide basis.

Adoption, unfortunately, is becoming quite of a hurdle. The primary reason is manifold: distrust with the technology due to recent scams or just pure misinformation, inefficiencies with the technology resulting in slow transactions speeds, design limitations, limited knowledge base and a perceived lack of incentive to migrate to blockchain, among others.

Overcoming this is the main driving force behind Blockchain 4.0, the fourth wave of blockchain-based technologies. Couchain, being at the forefront of this revolution, tackles this head on. With its Neural Consensus Algorithm approach, it solves the speed issue by making the network faster as more nodes join in. With scalability, adoption would soon follow. But to ensure further adoption, there is an easier way. …

The blockchain technology, like any other innovation, has experienced modifications at different stages called Generations. Obviously, the blockchain technology wasn’t all that was desired as there were some undesirable things about its operation. It was known — at inception — to be slow, energy consuming, quite inapplicable in the real world and undeveloped to meet the world’s need.

Each generation was tailored to modify an inadequacy in the preceding generation. Usually, this was always achieved but there is still always something to be improved upon. …
