Xenophobia, bigotry, and fear mongering are never positive. As a forward thinking, progressive Brit, the outcome of the referendum was heartbreaking. From a once great nation we’ve now become isolationist and divided. The cracks in the Union were already there, and Scotland will be next. I published a post on LinkedIn recently entitled ‘Brexit: Clash of the Generations’ which concluded that ‘if Millennials don’t step up, their fate will be sealed by those with a very different viewpoint’. Ultimately, the older generation decided the vote with their high-turnout and ‘Leave’ allegiance, and have voted for a future that the young don’t want.
