Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Best Fantasy/Action of it’s decade?
Ryan Moen
1002

I remember distinctly the impression this film made on its audiences. I was 18 years old when it premiered and it felt like a roller coaster ride. I remember thinking I had never seen a movie with more action. Also, Harrison Ford was at the height of his good looks (no longer a scruffy nerfherder lookin dude) and we all just fell in love with Indy. This is kind of funny in retrospect because a viewing of the movie now makes one roll one’s eyes (kindly of course) at the Spielberg tropes as well as the length of the film itself. It came out early enough to have a significant audience who remembered the serial adventure films of their youth while still garnering new fans (like yourself). Thank you for the review!
