Life’s a bit like Masterchef
There I was sat watching Masterchef when I had a though, it might also be because I have started reading Into the Fertile Void too!
So the thought goes a little bit like this. In life we are given ingredients, we are also given our own set of pots and pans, our experiences. Then we are asked to put them together, for a tasting by the other chefs, the masterchef’s who will, upon tasting our delights, let us stay or send us packing.
Now sometimes our dishes don’t turn out just as we had planned them, but the effort and the mix of ingredients allow us to stay and cook another day. Other times we under cook the food and are sent packing.
As I watched the programme and saw the tears as people were sent home, it made me wonder how I would do! The first thought that came to mind was, I would not be going home. And as I thought that I heard the other chefs say the same thing, but I knew one of them would be going home, because that’s how the program works and maybe life too. So just the words aren’t good enough to keep you in the kitchen.
So what would you need to be doing to stay in the kitchen and cook another day? What would enable you to stay? How would you put your experiences together to create a dish worthy of the masterchef’s in your world? Or would you be going home in the first round!
