Top 5 New(ish) Graphic Novels

by Daniele Fiandaca, co-founder of Creative Social

Twenty years ago a fellow 2000AD reader gave me the first issue of Preacher (now a Amazon Prime series) and I have since been hooked on graphic novels ever since. Here are my Top 5 new(ish) Graphic Novel series:

Chew — A funny series about cops, crooks, cannibals and clairvoyants.
Injustice: Gods Among Us— Everything about this says it should be bad. DC (rather than Marvel). Based on a computer game. Batman vs Superman. But I have to say it has me hooked.
Locke & Key— A book by Stephen King’s son (Joe Hill) about keys that go into your head to unlock special powers. Enough said.
Saga — two mismatched lovers (he’s a pacifist vegetarian magic-user, she isn’t) from societies at war with each other are on the run (with their newly born baby)
The Walking Dead— the only graphic novel to truly scare me
