PART ONE

Navy: A Hero’s Birth

November, 21, 1976

Mary Furgerson just gave birth to the world’s deadliest war machine, Mike Furgerson.

April,8th, 1982

Mike sits at the top of the slide watching two kids messing with his friend, Michael. He is pushed off the slide by urgent slide goer’s and quickly makes his way over to the swings were the two bullies are beating Michael. He pushes them off Michale and says, “leave him alone, no one else needs to get hurt.” One of them responses with, “Hey..y-y-your gonna pay!” and hastily walks away, diapering around the school’s corner. Michale stands up and thanks Mike for helping him and firmly shakes his hand.

April, 17th, 1982

Mike and Michael are walking around the play ground after they are caught awake during nap time. Just their luck the two bullies came back and had their posse. Mike told Michale to step back and walked toward them. They stared at each other. No words exchanged, just pure hatred. Michael notices one of them pulling something from being them and rushes behind Mike just in time to block the steel pipe on of them threw and pulled Mike back. Michale notices their large looming shadows and turns around to be confronted by a fist. He takes a blow and is dragged behind the little red bench. Mike Finally comes from shock and rushes to save Michale. He pulls one of them off and pushes the rest until he see’s Michael’s brutally beaten face and clasp his fist and swings. All of his anger was released. Knowing there was no going back he picks up the steel pipe and hits the ring leader in the shin and they flee. The teacher see’s Michale lying down and enraged Mike with a steel pipe and calls both their parents. Mike glances at unresponsive Michale knowing how loyal one has to be to take a severe beaten for others.
