Girl Talk: 4 Friends You Should Have In Your Circle

When it comes to friendship, sisterhood and camaraderie, it’s no fun when everyone in your group is exactly alike. Diverse personalities and balance make any circle of friends memorable and hard to let go of. These are the four friends you should have in your circle.

1. The Boss

Every group of friends should have a boss. This friend is always thinking about her next move, strong in leadership and has the kind of presence that demands respect without her saying one word. This friend is classy, elegant and smart. She may be a bit bossy due to her go getter attitude but she’s someone you could learn from. She has all the connects you need in business if you’re trying to get something off the ground and she’s the one who steps up to take charge whenever there’s trouble. If you don’t have a boss in your group, get you one.

2. Mother Hen

The best groups of friends usually has that one friend who thinks she’s everyone’s mother. This friend may or may not have children of her own; either way, she jumped in the motherly instincts line a couple of extra times before she got here. She’s cautious, thoughtful and caring. She always carries an extra sweater to the movies just in case you get cold and keeps a first aid kit in her purse. She’s the friend that’ll kick some sense to you before you make a stupid decision. Every circle should have one.

3. The Wild One/ Fighter

No matter where you go or who you’re with, women know whenever you’re with a clique there’s usually that one friend who is a little (or a lot) more turned up than the others. She’s your one sis you have to talk to LAST whenever your ex calls or does some stupid because everyone knows she’s not going to ask any questions. Before you can hang up the phone she’ll be on her way to the problem. This friend is the life of the party and sometimes gets you into some (fun) shit that may have you pissed at the moment but you’ll look back on it and laugh later. She’s the free spirit and jokester of the group that always keeps a smile on everyone’s face.

4. The Friend Who Tells It Like It Is

It doesn’t matter what anyone says, this friend is needed in EVERY group. Friendship doesn’t work without that one sister who’s going to keep it real with you without making you feel like trash. This friend is the one who loves from a pure place and will let you know she sees through your bull. She’s the friend who will call you out in a way that makes you genuinely check yourself. When you’re defensive, you’ll feel attacked but after you’ve had time to think things through, you’ll know she checked you because she loves you. She’s loyal and will ride until the wheels fall off.

There are plenty of other types of friends you may have in your girls crew. The crybaby, the spiritual guru, the natural hair extremist, the vegan, the black panther, the conspiracy theorist, the delta, the drama queen and the list goes on. No matter which friend you are or what friends you have in your crew, sisterhood is important. Having those shoulders you can cry on, ears you can trust and girls you can dance the night away with is what makes life so great.
