Asia Today has signed a memorandum of understanding on December 5th with the blockchain specialist company Crepe to collaborate in the blockchain and the data business in the 4th industrial revolution. Both companies have noted the accelerating industrial changes caused by the advancements in technologies such as artificial intelligence and Web 3.0. They recognized the need to explore new business models and globalize in order to adapt and lead these changes, agreeing to strengthen their strategic cooperative relationship.

Through this agreement, Crepe will provide Asia Today with blockchain technology and expertise related to the 4th industrial revolution, supporting the innovation and global expansion of Asia Today’s business model. Woo Jong-soon, CEO of Asia Today, stated, “This cooperation will create new opportunities and is expected to be a catalyst for further development for both companies.” Dr. Youngwhan Lee, representative of Crepe, emphasized the importance of exploring possibilities for business global expansion in this era of technological innovation, predicting that the new financial industry triggered by Bitcoin and traditional financial industries are inevitably going to integrate.
Dr. Lee also pointed out that the competition between BlackRock, a traditional financial powerhouse, and Grayscale, a blockchain startup, in strongly promoting Bitcoin ETFs is evidence of this trend. He anticipates that as ETFs gain momentum, the underlying data industry will attract attention. He further stressed, “Now is the appropriate time to start the index data industry at the boundary of traditional finance and blockchain DeFi (Decentralized Finance) and attempt globalization.” This agreement is expected to establish both companies as leaders in the blockchain technology and index data sectors.
