What is love?

What is this love?

The shadows play possum with the light

As candle and flame flicker against

Your skin

Today, I love you.

Tomorrow is sin.

The shadows dance in rhythmic succession

To a bass drum as sweat gleams off

Your skin

Today, I will fuck you.

Tomorrow I will leave.

The shadows seek to consume everything I feel while

The light blinds me to the truth.

I long to know the touch, feel and taste of Your skin

Today, I do want you.

Tomorrow I don’t.

Today, I do love you.

Tomorrow…
