I am thrilled to share that issue 2 of Cripple Punk Mag will include an interview with the absolutely electric Nova Twins.

Guitarist/vocalist Amy Love and bassist Georgia South pose in front of an orange Mylar curtain, wearing white and orange outfits that are covered in caution tape and big, exaggerated orange stitches. Amy wears her hair in two black braids bound with while ribbon and Georgia has a red afro.

If you haven’t heard Nova Twins’ music before, I urge you to check it out immediately. Described as “The loudest, most exciting new rock band in the UK” by The Guardian, their music is an intoxicating and genre defying blend of punk, metal, and R&B, complimented by fast lyrics and killer hand made costumes. They are kicking off their first full North American tour on September 27th.

You can get tickets here, and I have compiled the available accessibility info for their NA tour dates to help you plan for a totally face melting show. If you attend any of these I encourage y’all to add the venue to Half/Access, an organization compiling access info for live music.

27th Los Angeles, CA, The Roxy Theatre: “Accessible seating is available. Upon entering the venue the day of the show, please ask for a manager or supervisor and they will gladly escort you to the ADA section.”

28th San Francisco, CA, Bottom Of The Hill: A: “Yes, we are wheelchair accessible (you can gain entry in a wheelchair through the front door, which is our usual entrance) and we can also set up bar stools or a table and/or chairs for you in the main area if you need to sit during the show. Write to email@bottomofthehill.com at least one day in advance of the show for help in setting this up, or just ask for help when you arrive. Only our men’s room is accessible, but any females can ask our staff for assistance accessing the men’s room, if needed.”

30th Seattle, WA, The Vera Project: “Is VERA wheelchair accessible? Is there designated wheelchair/accessible seating?

Yes! Our front (show) door is located at the bottom of a ramp, & our office door is located at street level with a long hallway that goes through our recording studio to a wheelchair elevator that goes from the studio to backstage/ground level. This means that whichever door you enter, it’s possible for a chair to get to our main floor/showroom. The showroom currently doesn’t have a designated area for disabled seating or wheelchairs; the show room is mainly one big open space, but we’d be happy to figure out how to designate an area if need be. Restrooms are on the ground level and are wheelchair accessible and gender-neutral. For other accessibility questions, please contact info@theveraproject.org.”

1st Vancouver, BC, Biltmore Cabaret: Shows at the Biltmore Cabaret are currently admitted as GA. We do have booths that line the edges of the venue as well as tables and chairs. The seating is available on a first come, first-served basis. The floor area is standing only. Please reach out to nicole@biltmorecabaret.com with your accessibility request, we will work with you to support you or your group’s needs.”
