Trump, thus far, is a political bag of hot air. We already know that people on campaign trails will say nearly ANYTHING and it means nothing when they get into office. Here in the US — campaign promises are meant to be broken. That’s what politicians for the last umpteen years have taught us. Trump’s not a good businessman. His businesses cater to middle-class-elite-wannabes. He’s closed more businesses than he’s kept, gone bankrupt numerous times… but never once held a political office. Oh and he’s up on rape charges — trumped up or not, I don’t know. I’m not following the case. I already knew he was a bigot, a pig, etc. Back in the 1970s he and his father were fined for housing discrimination. And so on. These recent happenings are not surprises. His popularity is a bit of a surprise, but there has been a LOT of media manipulation going on around the election.
Hillary, however, has held political office in my home state as Senator, has been Secretary of State, has a political and legal track record, has been First Lady, etc. The list of scandals between her, her foundation & her husband Bill is about as long as the list of Trump’s bankruptcies but with many more dead bodies, refugees, wars, and money deals under the table… Something’s rotten in Denmark.
One simple provable fact — Bill Clinton pardoned or gave clemency to HUNDREDS of criminals on his last day in office as President. If you look at the list of pardons president-by-president, it stands out as quite exceptional. Why? And why aren’t people more curious about this? My best answer? Think of all the lawyers who owe the Clintons a favor now — and where does a lawyer go (aside from being named a partner in their firm) when they want to get a promotion? Into political office or the judicial system. I’d love if someone better at research than I went and figured out who benefitted from those pardons and where they are now.
However, whether Bill pardoned over 200 people on his last day in office isn’t under debate at all. It’s proven, recorded, history. Done. Crimes committed and forgiven were all over the map.
Another fact: several close associates of the Clintons have been arrested for crimes, several in the last year.
And the glaring fact: no matter what has happened, no one has so much as pressed charges against the Clintons. They have a list of scandals that’s rather embarassing. How is it that Hillary is even running for office?
So we have no track record by which to predict Trump’s behavior upon taking on office. But we DO have a track record for Hillary. And it’s alarming. VERY alarming. Completely aside from the list of scandals. Hillary single-handedly created a huge hotspot in the Middle East by ordering the death of Gadaffi. And no one knows why she did it. She insisted it was time, and both the White House and State Department disagreed but aquiesced. Now our entire country is paying the price, as are the captives of ISIS and everyone who becomes a victim of their terrorism.
And this is our “lead runner” for president?
For what it’s worth, I’m voting for neither. But if you took just the 2 of them, we have a big fat gamble that Trump is just drumming up bigoted asshat support and will chicken out of office or calm down once/if elected — or a woman who is on a warpath with an unknown agenda, friends in high places, untouchable, unethical, and manipulative, who has already “been there, done that” and will probably do it again. There won’t be any safe places to hide. She’s out for blood, and I’m only saying that due to her track record, not out of speculation. If you take former behavior and draw conclusions from it — like a straight line on graph paper — given her additional decision-making power compared to what she did as Secretary of State…she’s done nothing to deserve that upgrade. And like a little pyro, we’d be smart to keep her away from the stove before she burns us all.
