Ubiq Wallet and Fusion 0.10.0

A new version of Fusion has been released as well as the first release of Ubiq Wallet Some Windows users have had issues with Windows Defender not properly auto-upgrading Gubiq so this is the first version which bundles Gubiq 2.0.1 on install!

Ubiq Wallet

With this release we are adding Ubiq Wallet binaries as an option for users. Ubiq Wallet uses the same code as Fusion, without the browser functionality, and with the wallet-dapp built in instead of connecting to the hosted version provided by ubiqsmart.com. For most users we recommend Ubiq Wallet as it has a smaller potential attack surface. If interacting with dapps then Fusion may be a better option, otherwise Ubiq Wallet does everything you will need.

So lets get to it… first download the wallet.

Then open that file when done and tell windows to relax.

After agreeing to the Licence Agreement you will be greeted with a fancy new splash screen as you await launch.

Let windows know it is in control again and allow that firewall.

It’s that easy folks you now have a Ubiq wallet set up on your Windows PC! Just sit back and let the wallet look for peers and update the block status. This is also a great time to review your wallet backup plans or current system.

Note: If you used Fusion previously and are downloading the wallet you will have to perform the watch token action for any tokens (ie:ESCH) you have stored within the Ubiq ecosystem.
