In the four-minute Youtube video, which can be found below, Anonymous starts the narration by pointing out that the past few months in the crypto and traditional markets have been characterised by ‘pain’ due to the global macro-economic environment.
However, Do Kwon’s action caused more harm to retail investors, as explained below.
‘We were likely going to experience some pain in the crypto industry because of the macro environment, regardless of what was happening internally.’
‘We were also due for another bear market this year, but the actions of Do Kwon, the founder of the Terra Luna ecosystem is single-handedly responsible for scamming billions of dollars away from retail investors.’
Do Kwon Made a Name For Himself Using Arrogant Tactics — Anonymous.
Anonymous further explains in the video that Do Kwon had made a name for himself in the crypto industry through the use of arrogant tactics. They gave examples of Do Kwon trolling competitors, acting ‘like he would never fail,’ and the Terra founder finding it ‘entertaining to watch other projects fail.’
Do Kwon Had Bad Intentions from the Start — Anonymous.
The hacktivist group highlights reports that Do Kwon had siphoned off $80 million of user funds every month, resulting in him cashing out a total of $2.7 billion from the Terra ecosystem. As a result, he is being investigated for money laundering by global authorities.
Anonymous admits that ‘sometimes people just make mistakes, and sometimes businesses fail.’ But this was not the case as Do Kwon had ‘bad intentions from the start.’
Do Kwon Has Many Secrets, We Will Look into His History — Anonymous
In the concluding sections of the Youtube video, Anonymous points out that Terra was not the first failed project that Do Kwon was involved with.
According to their investigations, he was part of the team behind the failed stablecoin project of Basis Cash which also lost investors’ funds. But he was not held accountable for losing investors’ money because he used the pseudonym of ‘Rick Sanchez’ from the well-known ‘Rick and Morty’ cartoon series.
Therefore, Anonymous has vowed to look into his history in the crypto-verse and expose him for what he is. They said:
‘It is obvious that Do Kwon has plenty of secrets and he has been very sloppy in his execution. Multiple governments are conducting their own investigations into the scammer, but so are we.
Anonymous is looking into Do Kwon’s entire history since he entered the crypto space to see what we can learn and bring to light’
They added
‘Do Kwon, if you are listening..sadly, there is nothing that can be done to reverse the damage that you have done. At this point, the only thing that we can do is hold you accountable and make sure that you are brought to justice as soon as possible.’
