Breeding and Yield is here!

It’s been a little over a few months since we first unveiled CryptoZoo. Since then we’ve been heads down, hard at work to actualize the idea of CryptoZoo. Many ZooKeepers have hatched their base animals, from butterflies to mole rats an array of animals have already found their home. It’s been truly exciting and humbling to see videos of ZooKeepers from hatching their first animal, to planning out their future breeding strategies while trying to uncover what’s to come.

During this time we’ve built a full-fledged on-chain marketplace that enables ZooKeepers to buy and sell both base animals and eggs, a hatching system that yields you an animal from your first generation CryptoZoo eggs; Now it is time to take another leap forward and uncover our biggest release yet that we’ve been so excited for the world to see.

Community members know that there is a wealth of content and updates to come to CryptoZoo and this is one of many. We’ve jam-packed our planned out releases into one big one and can’t wait to see how the future unfolds. Let’s get into it.

The time has come and we are happy to announce we are live with breeding.

Breeding:

It’s time for ZooKeepers around the world to breed their base animals and discover their newest additions to their zoo! Base animals have 7 total breeds and will readily be available to be bred. Breeding two base animals will generate you a hybrid Egg that will become tradeable on the official CryptoZoo marketplace, with a total of 336 different outcomes. What will you hatch? Stay tuned for our next blog post that outlines breeding in a meticulous way!

Yielding:

Both hybrid and base animals will automatically begin yielding. After further consideration, we have come to the conclusion that we will enable yield from the birthday of any given animal (both base, and hybrid animals). Your animal will automatically earn yield in the form of Zoo Tokens. Should you choose to retrieve your yield you will need to “release your animal into the wild,” essentially parting ways with your animal forever. Coming soon is an updated blog post on how yield works, stay tuned for that.

“What’s next?” you may be asking. As part of this announcement, we’re also pleased to inform everyone that we’ve partnered with Vatom. We are proud of our accomplishments together, and it’s only the beginning! Coming soon to a metaverse near ZooKeepers. Community members (ZooKeeper or not) will be able to interact with one another, engage with their animals in never before seen ways — all in one world.
