In most cases, STD rashes accompany other symptoms like flu, cold sores, pelvic pain, rectum pain, etc. Most of the STDs are viral infection. They don’t show up symptoms soon and spreads quickly.
On the other hand, in case of yeast infection it creates uneasiness, itchiness and accompanied by foul discharge. The symptoms are apparent and heals quickly.
As mentioned above, syphilis infection creates rashes on feet and hands, leads to hair loss, fatigue, sore throat and many more when it spreads. Similarly, Chlamydia is a STD which affects the rectum in both men and women. It carries additional symptoms like rectal pain, bloody discharge, and painful discharge.
INGROWN HAIR
Ingrown hair, yeast infection and infection of bladder is often confused with genital herpes. Characterized by blisters and bumps, genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease. When you can notice small cluster of bumps and mild itchiness, wait for a day or two. If it heals sooner and doesn’t spread to a larger area, be assured it is ingrown hair.
Genital herpes also come with other symptoms like flu, sore throat and swollen glands. Besides, the lesions will take about a minimum of 3 weeks to heal. Ingrown hair generally caused when you shave the pubic hair or undergo bikini waxing.
Rashes are an outcome of allergic reaction
If you develop dry genitals with uncontrollable itchiness and irritation, be assured it is due to skin allergy caused by soaps and perfumes. Some of you may react differently with certain soaps, dyes, perfumes and detergents.
Sometimes, the undergarments may also lead to allergic reaction. Since the skin on the genitals are too delicate, it may react adversely. You may develop these symptoms suddenly.
Switching to milder products will be helpful. Don’t douche the genitals, it will aggregate the irritation. Just switch to using milder fragrant free and dry free products.
Is it heat rash?
Heat rash and herpes are common skin problems. Herpes, the viral infection is quite common sexually transmitted diseases that occurs in sexually active people. However, both are very different conditions. Heat rash may occur at any place including private parts. Heat rash clears up quickly. In most cases, heat rash subsides on its own from a couple of hours to in a day. Just by changing the clothes or washing the genitals, heat rashes subside. Try to cool the skin and you will be relieved. If not, it may be herpes.
If the itchiness or redness doesn’t seem to reduce after a few days or if the bumps and lesions spread, visit a doctor immediately and get proper diagnosis.
