Broom Wagon Coffee
Charleston, South Carolina
A micro-batch, specialty coffee roaster based in Charleston, South Carolina. Broom Wagon prides itself on meticulous sourcing and roasting amazing, single-origin coffees from around the world and sharing them with everyone. As a small, family-based roastery, owners Jeremias and Rachel Paul go great lengths to ensure that every cup you brew showcases each coffee’s maximum potential. Our desire is to create coffees that will bring people together, inspire them, and give them joy. To us, coffee isn’t just a revitalizer when you’re in need of a bit more speed, but also a culinary adventure to be shared over long-forgotten memories or on the way to making new ones.

Where did the inspiration for the company name come from?
While we love coffee, we also share our passion with cycling. Our name pays homage to the historic staple that follows the riders along their route in many races. The broom wagon was first introduced in the 1910 Tour de France as a support vehicle displaying an iconic broom above the driver’s cab. It is still a common fixture in cycling races that is always ready to pick up struggling riders or encourage them to the finish. Like the broom wagon, we’re here to help you stay in the race and enjoy the ride.

So how does Broom Wagon go about handling its coffee sourcing?
Sourcing great coffees to roast is no easy task. While it is our dream to build up meaningful relationships directly with the farmers who are growing the coffees we offer, we could never singlehandedly undertake the supply chain that leads their coffee beans to us. In cycling terms, we view our journey through coffee as a long, gradual hill climb we can’t take on alone. There are so many hands involved in the cup of coffee you hold in yours. We are blessed to be able to work with so many wonderful people who have helped us bring our coffee to you.
