NO LOVE LOST by Margery Allingham contains two suspense novelettes involving women who walk completely different paths but both lead to murder.

THE PATIENT AT PEACOCKS HALL -

Overview: A young woman — Doctor Dr. Ann Fowler, has dedicated her life to medicine and after the biggest heartbreak of her life: losing her childhood sweetheart to beautiful movie star Francia Forde, she remains single and heartbroken, and dedicates her life to her work. Shen finds herself in the strangest of situations: she is asked to help save Francia’s life. Dr. Ann Fowler struggles to save the life of her rival, whilst being framed and threatened to lose everything she has including her life by a man driven mad by hatred and determined to have his revenge regardless of the innocent people he will hurt.

Review: I think this story was suspenseful and thrilling to read about. It was heartbreaking and shocking. It was marvelous. I loved reading this story. It was heart-wrenching and uplifting in such a positive way. I like happy endings. I need them more than anything in the reading I do because it infuses me with hope and even discipline because when motivation ends, discipline must overtake and overcome. This is a story of unrelenting persistence to do what is right and to love truly, madly, and deeply. There is a shocking reveal that redeems…
