I fully agree with your point that social media bears a potential risk for consumers to becoming addictive. I personally know some of those ‘creatures’ who live a virtual life rather than a real one. They aspire to gain a maximum of ‘likes’ — cost it what it may. Furthermore, it seems as if they constantly compare their lives to the ones of their (close) friends and acquaintances which make them feel pressured and restless because they are not able to keep up with their artificial lives in a way. I think that everybody in our modern world is more or less interested in what happens around them. In consequence each of us should limit and reconsider our use of social media in order to have a reasonable approach to it.
